Ben Plassman
Joshua Cornelius- Commercial Producer & Cinematographer
Commercial producer and cinematographer with broadcast and instructional media experience.
Joshua Cornelius is a multidisciplinary filmmaker and producer with a track record in commercial production, cinematography, and end-to-end project delivery. He brings a practical, on-set mindset to every phase of production, from planning and budgeting to shooting, editing, and final delivery.
In his current role at WSFL-TV, Joshua supports fast-paced broadcast and commercial work where deadlines, clarity, and consistency matter. He works across teams to keep productions moving, protect quality standards, and deliver content that meets client and station expectations.
Previously, Joshua worked at the University of Florida, producing high-volume media for instruction and communications. His work focused on building repeatable production systems, creating clear learning-focused video content, and coordinating with subject-matter experts to turn complex topics into structured, teachable media.
Alongside his staff roles, Joshua has taken on freelance projects that strengthened his ability to adapt to different brands, crews, and production needs. He is known for calm leadership, clear communication, reliable pre-production planning, and a strong sense of story and visual design.
Joshua holds a degree from Full Sail University and served for six years as a Sergeant in the Army National Guard. His guiding philosophy is simple: prepare well, communicate clearly, and deliver work you can stand behind every time.
